New Sevendust
Wow, you have to check out the new song “Pieces” that is streaming on Sevendust’s website. Apparently, a lot has happened to them in the past six months and it makes for some very aggressive music. Sevendust already has some great “I’m pissed off and feel like driving down the street with my stereo at full blast” tunes (”Face To Face,” “Enemy,” “Rumble Fish”), but this new song is just crazy. Their new album coming out on October 11th is going to be wicked.

You idiot, the song pieces is from the Dark New Day Album. It’s with Clint Lowrey from sevendust who left the band back in november. Get your shit straight before you post next time.

You know, I find it interesting how quick one can be to judge others and insult them, thinking he has all of the necessary information when his research obviously did not get all of the facts. It happened here (I actually review the Dark New Day album). It happened when I talked about my Radar In Motion widget (see comment #7. A look to the right would reveal a link to “Cornell CS,” with the alert text, “My graduate program”). I certainly have had instances of doing the same thing to people I know. I thought I had all the information, proceeded to be rather judgmental and mean, and then realized later that I was missing something key, meaning I felt quite bad. Perhaps it is something we should all keep in mind before we open our mouths to insult someone because we think he doesn’t know what he is talking about.

What’s even more crazy is that Dark New Day was formed by Clint Lowery, who is the former guitarist for Sevendust. Even more crazy is that I saw 7D at last year’s X-Fest in Huntington, WV and I’m seeing DND at this year’s X-Fest. Craziness!

So what if sevendust may have hit a song similar to Dark new Day, The boys from sevendust been around a hell of a lot longer than Dark New Day, If Clint was the only person that made up the band why didn’t he leave a long time ago? They were five people that made up the old Sevendust, not just one. Maybe Clint took some of Lajon’s idea’s and used them, Lajon wouldn’t have cared, but you people seem to be angry with sevendust just for a same song title, In my opinion you need to find more constructive things with your time than ridicule bands, There a hell of a lot better than we will ever be at rock’n and roll’n so calm your a$$ down

I couldn’t agree anymore joeJack it hard to base the theft of the song title on sevendust, clint left sevendust with good intentions and 7Dust went on to rock there way not to copy someone else!!!!

According to Clint, the fact that both bands have a song called “Pieces” is strictly a coincidence (see his post on the DnD forum). Personally, I think both bands are amazing in their own ways and enjoy listening to either. No doubt both bands are going to have some similar elements, as Clint wrote actively with both groups. Given that he writes some amazing tunes, I’d say this is not a bad thing!

It dont matter that Dark New Day and Sevendust have the same song name. What I can say is that they both fckin rock and thats all that matters.

‘Pieces’ is a common song name.
As is ‘Suffocate’ ‘Falling Down(or very similar to that)’ and ‘Numb’…there are just alot of songs out there and the fact that some of them have the same name is merely chance…
But I gotta admit that the Clint stuff is a tad suspect…but he did say himself that it was just a coincidence…
